FAQ

Types of Payment

Avant Aesthetics accepts care credit, credit card, cash and debit.

When Do I Have To Pay?

No deposit is required for insurance-based procedures unless you have California Blue Shield or Blue Cross. The deposit will depend on the type of surgery you will be receiving.

For cosmetic surgery not covered by insurance, the deposit is 10% at the time of scheduling for cosmetic procedures. If you require cosmetic financing, our experienced medical staff will work with you on obtaining financing if necessary. Once the necessary arrangements are made, we will work out a mutually agreeable date for surgery and schedule it. Payment of the remaining balance is expected two weeks prior to your planned surgery. Please understand that this policy ensures that the operating room time is not wasted and that all our patients have the greatest flexibility in scheduling their surgeries.

Will Insurance Cover The Procedure?

Insurance policies cover many reconstructive procedures. However, every insurance company has a different set of criteria distinguishing between reconstructive versus cosmetic procedures. Sometimes, apparent cosmetic procedures may also fall under the reconstruction category. For example, procedures such as breast reduction and blepharoplasty are often covered. Still, each insurance company has different criteria that have to be met before coverage is allowed. This may simply involve a letter from your physician that properly documents your conditions. Insurance policies also vary with regard to the amount of coverage provided. Due to the complexities of insurance contracts, the best way for you to figure these things out is to come in for a complimentary consultation and let us do the work to maximize your insurance benefits.
